About the CCA | The Badminton CCA focuses on developing students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of the sport through structured training and gameplay. Beyond technical proficiency, strong emphasis is placed on the school’s GREAT values and character development to support students’ holistic growth. Through training and match play, students learn resilience, sportsmanship, and teamwork—key attributes that support their development both on and off the court. Members are given opportunities to acquire and improve badminton-specific skills such as hand-eye coordination, footwork, and tactical awareness, as well as to learn and practise singles and doubles gameplay. The Badminton CCA also provides opportunities for students to participate in the National School Games Badminton Championships (Junior and Senior Divisions). Through their involvement, students are imbued with values and developed in Social-Emotional (SE) competencies, demonstrating the school’s GREAT and core values such as respect, discipline, integrity, and fair play. |
